My goodness. Here’s what an exceptionally busy day at work is like for me (I average ~6k/day)-
I am unsure how I only burned 360 calories though.

Hint: Fitbits suck at counting calories. In this case, it counted calories as it was sitting on my desk.

I was trying to figure out how this happened. I have a heart rate monitor fitbit and I’ve had 20k step days with 2-3 hours over 130bpm and still only hit ~6500-cal.

I do about the same number of steps per day at work.
However I thought you’d appreciate the distance I put in back in May for the Southern Ohio Forest Rally. We were hiking to parts of the race along the Buckeye Trail near Chillicothe. I’ve been back working out at the gym more since then and have lost 9 lbs. I turned 62 that weekend. It would have recorded more if I’d done more swinging my arm with the Fitbit but many times I caught myself gripping my backpack straps. That was the second day of the two days we watched Dusty Ventures and others rally racing.
I’d guess your calorie count is from all the stairs? I just wear a Fitbit Flex so I don’t get the elevation changes. I do know one of the other guys in our oarty said his iPhone recorded us doing over 2000 ft in elevation on this same day. I should look at my phone for that same info but it doesn’t seem to track my steps as well as the FitBit.
